My birthwork journey began in 2016 when I found my love for supporting women throughout their reproductive journeys by volunteering as a birth and postpartum doula. I quickly learned that I could do so much more to help support women as a midwife. I spent years apprenticing with different midwives and studying towards becoming a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM). I have also received Licensure as a Direct Entry Midwife in Utah State. I always carry current NPR (Neonatal Resuscitation) and CPR/BLS certifications. I am currently going back to school to become a LBCLC.

That all said, I strongly believe that my true credentials come from a different source. As a spiritual woman, I believe that this is what I am meant to be doing and I have been guided down this path. I recognize that there are things unseen, but often felt during each birth experience and understand that as your midwife, I hold an intimate and sacred role.

I feel that the name “Birth-Keeper” is more suited to the type of midwifery I strive to practice, as I strongly believe that babies are born how they are conceived: in peace, safety, and comfort. I focus on ‘keeping’ that safe space for you to deepen your awareness of the birthing process, and offer the information you need to make empowered choices throughout your care. My role as a midwife is to witness you, to exalt you, to comfort you, to support you, to revere you, to love you, and to uplift you in your own power. This is your body, your baby, your birth, your choice. I hope to have the honor of supporting you through it.

About Me: About

My Promise to You:

  • I will be authentic, honest and non-judgmental in communication, information, research and evidence.

  • I will listen deeply to you and support you, about anything and everything. I am here for you.

  • I will speak from a heart-centered place.

  • I will be inclusive, empowering, and humane as I help you to navigate through your reproductive years.

  • I will keep a safe space for you throughout your care, without any judgment or bias.

  • I will strive to share my knowledge, experience, and spiritual support to all the individuals I affect.

  • I will dive deep into the pros and cons of everything I offer in my care. I will educate you before labor/delivery, so you can be knowledgeable and form decisions with a clear mind. My goal is that you are educated and empowered before your birthing day so that you can make your own informed choices every step of the way. There is power in choosing your path, even when it takes an unexpected turn. Together, I will support you in forming a plan, then watch and work with you as your birth journey unfolds.

  • I will NEVER force you, persuade you, or coerce you into ANYTHING you don’t want or believe in.

  • I will focus on YOU, your wants, your needs. You are in charge, not me.
